Crackdown MMO

Probably not the best game to come out, but it looks like it would be fun for a laugh or ten.

Re: Crackdown MMO

APB piqued my interest when i first heard about it years ago (GTA MMO, what's not to like). Good to see that it's coming along nicely now.

This looks like it'd be at least as fun as CoV, for at least as long. Which isn't saying a whole lot, but it's still something.

Dude, the entire game is centered around mowing people. How is that not awesome?

Re: Crackdown MMO

That doesn't look like something I'd pay 15$ a month to do. I'd rather make kids mad in l4d2 for free.

Re: Crackdown MMO

Looks like a GTA MMO. Mildly entertaining for a couple weeks at the most.

Hmm good point, it might not be worth 15$/mth without RPG elements like XP...

Re: Crackdown MMO

Any game where you can get in a vehicle and mow fuckers down is a win.

Now go build yourself a new PC Satake, the lawn hasn't been mowed in a long, long time.

Re: Crackdown MMO

I finally installed parallels on my iMac with windows XP, (and jesus, installing windows is like doing your taxes) it works but I was so tuckered out from the boredom I haven't seen how well it works for gaming. I did download and install steam and that worked... but I didn't play any games.

I installed it to test websites on IE6/7/8 (3 virtual machine installs) and it seems it'll be ok for that, but I dunno about games. Alert the Bard, I may end up doing a new box.

Re: Crackdown MMO

Windows 7 is supposed to be much improved (I haven't upgraded yet, but plan too).

W7 is only supported "Experimentally" on parallels, but I think I can boot camp it, which would be better for games anyway since there'd be no resource sharing.

Windows 7 for me has been a really good experience. I'm running 64bit ultimate on my desktop, and also my MacBook Pro via Bootcamp (works really good).

Re: Crackdown MMO

This thread is very entertaining. BTW no complaints about W7 from me. I'm hoping to build a new rig late summer. Will be about damn time. I heard about this game whenever we talked about it like.. 2 years ago? I'd be up for playing it, but it needs to have some sort of prevailing objective-oriented strategy elements or I'll get bored as donkeysex.
