Solid State Drives for 60$? Yes please.

Get it while it's good, at least one for your OS drive.

It's a "solid" deal. Heh.

Damnit.

"Thank you for placing your memory order with Crucial Technology. We appreciate your interest in our products.

Unfortunately, the Refurbished 64GB M225 2.5" SATA 3.0 Gb/s Solid State Drive's you have ordered for your system are not available at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you. Crucial strives to maintain accurate stock information on our Web site and to fill all orders on the same day they are placed. However, sometimes this simply isn't possible due to the high demand for particular parts. However, we might have higher-density modules that will fit your needs."

LOL REFURBISHED. Stay away. SSD's have a limited write cycle, so who knows how badly beat up your drive will be?

I'm in agreement with Cham on this one, wouldn't want a refurb SSD. As posted in Raxe's new build thread, Intel X25-M's are $200 at microcenter for an 80GB drive, and I picked one up at Fry's a couple of months ago on special for $150 for a friend's build. This drive is insanely fast.

I worked a job years ago refurbishing computers (80286/80386 I think) and the refurb process consisted of: re-install windows 3.1 (it was new then) and putting the computer in a new box.

oh and we'd have to put new serial number stickers on the case, so as to match the one on the box.

Yeah. We refurb SSD's for a number of different companies. The drive gets SMART checked, then we issue an ATA Secure Erase, package it and call it a day.
