The engine in the Z is easily modifiable and has a lot of room to go. Just be aware that adding a Twin Turbo reduces the life of the engine overall.
Unless you're racing it, I don't see the point. You're better off taking that money and dumping it into a new exhaust system for a better sound during acceleration.
I loved my Z when I had one. Just be careful with it if you do get one, you can kill yourself pretty easily. I remember hitting 155 (damn govinator chip) going out to Vandenberg AFB when I worked out there.
The nice thing about a 2-seater is you don't have to play taxi for all of your friends. I fucking hate doing that shit.

It's kinda funny, before I bought my 350z I was looking at the RX8 too.
