My G5 is starting to get pretty worn. Sucks since they don't make it anymore and the G500 sucks.

When my G5 bites it I'm gonna be upset.

I like children, I just never can finish a whole one, unless it's mine.

Speedy review, please. I'm in the market. My R.A.T. 7 simply broke after a week and my G9X is aging.

It's a toss-up, though - keyboard first or mouse?

I'm using a steelseries surface right now. It's survived 4 moves and ridiculous abuse and it's still holding up like a champ. Literally the only time I ever have my mouse snag on anything is if I've physically dropped something on the pad and under the mouse.

First Impressions of the mouse: Fantastic. It feels very good in my hand, and it seems incredibly accurate. If you enable ExactSense, the blood pulsing through your hand moves the mouse pointer.

Buttons feel solid and well made.

Scroll Wheel feels very solid.

The buttons on both sides of the mouse are easy to press and give a satisfying click.

A few questions:

1. How do you feel about the coating of the mouse? It seems like there is potential to not have a good grip or have it get sweaty after a prolonged gaming session. I have heard mixed reviews, what's your thought?

2. Can you try making the mouse skip on a white surface at medium to low sensitivity in game?
(Paper should be ok, only adjust your in game sensitivity, do not adjust the windows or dpi, and move try moving the mouse as fast as you can back and forth)

3. Have you toyed disabling the auto-prediction and acceleration?

4. Lastly, What color did you set your mouse to glow? Pink or Purple?

Haven't had a problem with it so far. It doesn't get sweaty.

Don't have a white surface.

3. Have you toyed disabling the auto-prediction and acceleration?

Not yet. I wanted to try it since it's supposedly different than other types of acceleration.

4. Lastly, What color did you set your mouse to glow? Pink or Purple?

Disabled the LED's. They make the mouse warmer.

I am currently using a Logitech G9 mouse. I was thinking about upgrading to the Razer Naga Hex. Is it worth upgrading to the Razer?

The Naga Hex is decent, and definitely has a good ergonomic feel to it... but it has too many buttons for my taste. I'm more of a keyboard mapping over mouse mapping player, so it's overkill to me.

That being said... it's still a good mouse and would probably not hinder you at all, but I personally think there are better options at the Naga's price point.

I've been seriously looking at a Naga Hex versus a numpad Naga mainly because yes, I want more mouse buttons, but a full numpad seems like overkill (also the things don't have the best track record).

The Naga Hex looks really interesting, though I'd like to wait a while to see how they hold up over the long term.

I love my naga but the left click is starting to wear and double click a lot. I'm really considering getting one of the naga hexes though because I only use around 7 buttons on my current naga, so I think the hex would be perfect efficiency for my preference. I still use most of my binds on the keyboard, but having more than 2-4 options on the mouse is quite nice depending on the situation.

I use the Razer Lachesis. To be honest, I don't think it has enough buttons. It's also kind of a bitch to clean. The Razer Lachesis has 4 side buttons, two on each side. I used it primarily for the shape, I never really gotten used to the bigger mice that was designed for just your right hand, or left. I like it feeling closer to the ground, make twitch-moves smoother IMO.

Binding wise, I just the one's on my keyboard.

I still like the Razer Imperator the best, with Deathadder as a close second.
