Beginning of the end of traditional College Education?

MIT starts offering "Certificates of Mastery" for free online courses.

College is only expensive because the means of distribution has traditionally required a physical presence in the class room. The internet makes this model obsolete as the information can be shared much more easily.

I wouldn't be surprised to see more universities to move towards this type of education system in the future.
