Please fill #header with page_background950.png instead of header_bg.jpg, and remove the border.

Sincerely,
Bard

I'm not sure the background would exactly work, but I think his point is that the fade back there doesn't match.

transparent, semi-transparent, the page bg, match the fade or make it the same color as the body areas (i think it's #25292C) would look better, since you have those light border colors, I'd suggest making the back 25292c and maybe put a border around it but since it isn't the same width as the rest of the page (it's wider) you probably need to leave the border off.

This. Also, I plugged in page_background950.png with firebug and it worked alright. I'm not sure if there's some compatibility reason for it, but you could also probably make that image a lot smaller and just tell it to repeat instead of repeat-y.

no compatibility problem I just wasn't sure how it would look, if it looks good it looks good.

I did make a smaller version that I'm using now. I'll give it a shot and see how it looks. The reason it's not transparent is that I wanted the image to act as a bookend. I also didn't notice that it was slightly wider than the rest of the forum (by like 2 pixels), that's easily fixed.

Edit: I don't like it. It's too muddy and doesn't make the logo pop any more. I think a simpler fix would be to make the footer (Down where Contact Us, Admin, etc are) match the header fade. I made it black specifically to make the logo contrast against the rest of the site more. That was the intent.

I will also likely be redoing the fades when I have more time. Remember, this is a work in progress!

You're killing me. Whatever the intent was, that image just doesn't go. It breaks the flow of the site, which is amazing because it's at the top of the site; so, in effect, there is no flow. How about you give me some specs for the logo and i'll make something that draws the eye....and in return you'll use a background that goes with the rest of the site. Deal?

It breaks the flow because I'm not done yet. If you want a new logo, go ahead and make one.
